I work at a KFC thats a franchises. so its privately owned, is VERY old, in a small town, and we have different prices on stuff then the KFC in the city.
So the new thing is to get people gift cards for fast food places. we give out gift certificates, but before we give them out we exsplain that they can only be used at our store and another store in the next town over. NOT in the big city. the city is also giving out gift cards, but with bar codes. we have nothing to read them with so we cannot accept them.
an older couple come in and give the cards to the cashier who explains we have no way of swiping them, so we cannot accept them. they want to speak to me, and usually when this happens it means they are hell bent on chewing out a large portion of my ass and working their way up.
so i go up there and explain to them again that we cannot read them. and guess what happed! you will never guess!
they said "oh, well thats too bad. oh well, nothing you can do about it hu? do you have any other deals?"
im shocked. no swearing, no fits, no "im going to have your job, ur moms job, then run over your dog!" mishaps.
i made sure they had the best chicken in the house and all the stuff was extra fresh and extra packed.
im still in shock. i wasnt yelled at..... im so confused.....
