this happened last night:

guy of 18 or so walks in, orders up.

me: what can we get you?
guy: i'd like a medium caramel frappucino
me: ok, anything else tonight?
guy: er, yes, can i borrow a pen?
me: *??* sure

he writes on the cup and hands it back to me

me: *reads 'i love you' written on the cup*

no, i don't remember seeing him before; i believe the drink was for his girlfriend, so i found it cute and touching.

most of them simply have their girlfriends order for them and pay for it (not wrong unless it's a habit of theirs to expect her to pay constantly...share the expenses) and tend to act like douchebags the entire time.

it was nice to see someone doing something thoughtful.
