I work for an international women's organization. One of the membership options (the only one with real benefits) cost $20 (which is cheap). Many of our members complain about this, accusing us of being "money-grubbing." We recently had a challenge in which we would send a special exclusive item to chapters with 10 or more paid members.
This one woman signed up over 70 of her chapter members for the paid membership. 70.
If that wasn't awesome enough, she lives pretty close to the home office, so we decided we want to present her chapter with their stuff personally. I've been the liason, and had to call this woman about 7 times this past week to try to work things out. She's always cheerful, always happy to chat, has mailed in photos at the drop of a hat for our newsletter, etc. Just today, she asked if I'd be there to present the stuff to their chapter, and was ecstatic when I mentioned I would. She says she can't wait to meet me.
I love this lady. She is by far one of the best customers/members I've met. She is the sort of person who makes my job completely worthwhile.
