Today, my faith in humanity was restored.
A gentleman came in towards of the end of my shift. He bought gas, and something else. As I was ringing him up, he said he was also gonna pay for the gas for the guy on pump 5.
OK, we have this happen from time to time. I assume they were together. Then the guy says that he doesn't even know the guy!
He bought a complete stranger $50 worth of gas.
He paid for it and was walking out the door when the other guy came in the other door.
I was floored. My coworker was floored. The recipient was floored. Other customers were floored.
It was an awesome experience.
