So we have this guy that comes in at least once or twice a week. He's cool as hell, and spends a decent amount too. (He dropped about $50 on Thursday alone.

He never causes any problems. He just comes in, gets a lane (for like 3 hours), gets drinks from the bar, gets food from the cafe, ice cream, plays the claw machine, chits chats with us. Just kinda hangs out.

Background Info: On Thursday night, after 9pm, we offer a 20% discount on all transactions.

Well, he comes in at 8pm.

Me: Woot
M: Manager
CG: Cool Guy

Me: "No! Come back in an hour so I can give you a discount!"
CG: "What?"
Me: "After 9 you get 20% off."
CG: "Ah, really? damn I didn't know."
*Manager looks up and sees who it is.*
M: "Oh, didn't realize it was you."
M: (to me): "You can give it to him anyways, throw in the shoes for free too."
Me: "Ok."
CG: "Really? You guys are awesome, thanks!"
Me: "No problem man, you're always cool to us, we'll be cool to you."

Not only did I do that, but I put him on a lane right in the middle of the bar and the ice cream and claw machines (Since I know he uses those too), and I made sure not to put anyone on either of the lanes directly next to him.

That is how we do it at my job also. If you are good on paying every month, and something happens that you cannot pay for a month, we will forget about any late fees.
