Popsicles!
Had the cutest kid come up today to get the mail for his house. When he came up I had just finished sneezing several times and rinsed my hands with some anti bacterial wash before giving him the mail. He commented I didn't look well and I just shrugged and said the one word pushing too many buttons right now, "Allergies."
He looked thoughtful for a long moment and then rushed back up to the house shaking my head I resumed delivering. Making it to mu usual break spot I removed my glasses and rubbed my eyes, wishing the OTC meds I grabbed really meant non-drowsy like they said. I was also wishing I had grabbed another tablet but with the way they affect me I couldn't be certain it would be safe, so I suffer.
About five minuets into my ten minuet break there is a knock on my door and I open my eyes to see cute kid's Mom. "He said you needed this." She hands over two items, a Popsicle and a bottle of water. "You look a bit dry. Have a good day." Blinking and still trying to see I manage to get out a quick thank you before enjoying my Popsicle.
You'd think it wouldn't have done much but I never felt better for the rest of the route.
