A bag had been left on one of my co-workers buses one afternoon by one of their passengers, which was handed to them by another passenger that found it and was apparently honest enough to not go rifling through the contents. The contents of the bag? Roughly the equivalent of NZ$1000 in travelers cheques, a passport and some other official documentation. Looks like some poor tourist left their bag behind!
Thankfully the police were able to track down the owner of the bag and return it to it's (very grateful) owner, who actually offered the driver a reward of $100 for their honesty (though they turned it down, another very nice gesture)
(It's acts like this that give me more faith in humanity)
