Working in customer service and reading/posting on this site has really affected how i handle myself as a customer. Customers Suck.com should be mandatory reading for everyone.
Mrs Getoutofmylobby is 7 months pregnant and on a recent night on the way home from visiting some friends, she had an impulse to stop at Coldstone Creamery. Since you should never deny ice cream to a pregnant woman we stopped.. even though it was about 10pm.
Of course as i walked in, they were closing up, chairs on the tables, ice cream tubs out of the... ice cream thing... It was 5 minutes past the 10pm closing time and i just didn't see the sign.
Me: Oh crap, you guys are closing, sorry.
Creamery Person: No problem, what can i get for you?
Me: But you're closing, its ok. If i were you, i'd want me to leave.
(In my haste to NOT be a SC, i was ready to face the wrath of a pregnant woman forced to go without ice cream.)
Creamery person: Really, its no big deal.
Me: (looking around) Are you sure?
Creamery Person: Of course!
Me: Ok, uh.. wow... uh.. a Love it of chocolate with Reeses mashed up in it.... Do you want me to go lock the door?
Creamery person: Haha no, really... its ok.
I tipped her $3.50 on a $3.50 check.
