Not sure where this belongs (move as needed.) I was reading a very old thread about a kid who chose the death of animals over taking shots. It reminded me of these 3 kids. I was driving home from work, and I saw them standing on the side of the road with huge signs and a huge container of liquid. When I stopped, I rolled down my window and they said "Wanna save the animals?" I asked what was involved, and they were selling cups of gatorade to save the animals. (I forget exactly what they were going to do with the money, but it was a worthwhile cause.) I bought a couple of glasses (since I was thirsty) and gave them some extra money. As I was leaving they said "Thanks! You saved lots of animals today!" (That statement brought tears to my eyes.) I know I loved animals when I was that age (still do) and I thought that was the best "charity" there was. With all the destruction of rainforests and everything, it was nice to see some kids who really cared. I never found out how they helped out, but that was neither here nor there. If they were even able to rescue one species of animal (or accomplish what their goal was) then it was all worth it. We need more kids like these in the world. Then I can hope, for all of our sakes, that the next generation will be able to enjoy all of the animals that we take for granted. If not, it will be a sad world for them indeed.
