Somewhere in a call center in Oklahoma

My family just switched wireless companies from t-mob to AT&T. After telling the girl at the AT&T store exactly what plan we wanted and which extra feature (Note: not plural) we wanted with it, she repeated back to us exactly what my wife told her while she was entering it in the computer. Something about the way she folded the receipt/contract over on itself when she had me initial and sign set off the alarm bells in my head. So after leaving the store I take a look at it closer and realize she signed us up for EVERYTHING.

Anyway this isn’t about the commission whore at my local store. This is about the awesome staff at the call center somewhere in Oklahoma who have straightened my calling plan out and put it the way I actually wanted it. Which is a monthly difference of about $168. I wish I could remember the names of the three people I spoke with there all of them where polite, friendly, helpful and somewhat apologetic.

So if any of them are reading this, this one is for you…

Good thing you caught it, but you should have unfolded it and scanned down it BEFORE signing it in the store, and when you caught the discrepancies, gotten the manager and pointed out to him that was illegal...

That sort of thing happens more often than you might think.

Kudos to you Mr_Bandwagon for not demanding anything more than what you had originally asked for. Its workers like the girl who folded the contract over that make life for us on the call center side of things a living hell.
