  • The girl with a broken arm.

Hi everyone, I had possibly my favourite customer ever today, a 5 year old girl.

Right, so im working up at the DVD section, this guy picks out a display case and brings it up to my counter and I go round the back to get as you do.

I spent at least 5-10 minuites looking for this DVD but the display case obviously shouldn't be out as there was none round the back.

When I go back out to tell him the DVD isn't there, the little girl is there in the queue behind him.So i tell the guy the bad news. He goes Mental!! screaming and bawling at me with the usual rubbish. "THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A BIRTHDAY PRESENT YOU STUPID ****" etc etc

Why does he see the need to swear in front of a kid, anyway the kid says this to him ,these are the exact words.

"mister, I broke my arm last week and I don't think I screamed as much as you are now"

He looked well embarresed and practically ran away

I gave the girl my staff discount, a big NO NO, but I don't care.

she wasn't finished there. "you don't need to do that mister" how kind is that

I put the discount on when she wasn't looking because the DVD was really expensive.

That really did make my day as he was my third or fourth SC in as many days.

Kind of sad that it sometimes takes a child to put a so-called "adult" in their place. But really though, I've heard more screaming & carrying on from SC's that you'll ever hear from someone who's hurt & in physical pain. Makes you wonder sometimes.
