  • AT&T Goodness

Frank at AT&T was super. Recently, we have been cut to 32 hours per week at our work "due to the economy"... (Believe me, that is one time I really did NOT want to hear that phrase )
Anyway, I called to see about lowering the cell plan, and he went above & beyond trying to find a better plan. He was a great guy, polite and thorough.

Last year I realised my phone bills were getting out of control, I had 300 free minutes and texts and was going over by like 1000 each month, costing me like £70 at a time. Highest bill was £150. My contract was £25.

I shopped around, and thought I'd phone my current provider, O2. The guy there looked at my previous use and my huge bills and got me the following, for the same monthly rate:

    1. 600 minutes* (up from 300)
    2. 1000 texts* (up from 300)
    3. a variety of options to choose from* (i chose unlimited texts)
    4. a new phone (samsung soul)
    5. free home broadband* (was paying £17.99 to another supplier per month)

*these items are standard on a £35 contract, which i got for £25.

    Thanks O2!

Not sure about America, but here in England companies are falling over themselves trying to give customers as much as they can for free. Broadband with a free laptop, mobile phone with free home broadband, free international calls, standard call charges when you take your phone around europe etc.

      Yurimaru, can we borrow Frank?

Our AT&T reps can't find their asses with both hands, a road map, and lighted markers. Heck, we just got a transfer from a bill we paid and they mis-applied dating from 2006! And the only reason we didn't know it back then is because we've been fighting with them for at least 4 years to straighten out our bills, and all they can seem to do is keep changing the account numbers and continuing to mis-apply payments.
