Now I like to think I can cook a good steak, but when it gets busy and I'm rushed I can't concentrate enough on it to get it *exactly* right.
Enter NC (Nice customer) on one such day, ordering a Rib Eye steak rare.
I'm running around like a headless chicken, but I take pride in my ability to cook things to how the customer likes so I make double-sure that it's done right. Since we're understaffed too (
) I take it to him when it's done.
An hour later, I clock off and sit down in the bar area with a nice pint in the garden. NC sees me and tells me I cook an awesome steak.
I then spend the rest of the evening grinning from ear to ear. It's the little things...
