We flew KLM this year instead of Delta for Dragon*Con (£600 cheaper for three people
) and the service was great to begin with but what made it for me was my treatment on the way back.
It happened that I nearly dislocated my knee doing the thriller practices at D*C (still did the main event, go me!) but it went back fine and it just feels sprained now.
The people in front I'd put in sightings because they were sucky. (seats right back and a insult to go with it) after 7 hours of that my knee was really beginning to yelp and not in a good way even with the strapping. I gave my hand luggage to my sister so I could stretch out my leg straight and she got some painkillers out for me by this time I was in tears from the pain. I flagged down a hostess and she stopped what she was doing to check I was okay and fetched some water for me. A second host came over a gave me some painkillers (different type which I took when I got to Amsterdam) without even questioning why just the fact I was in pain was enough. The Hostess checked on me when she went by a couple of times and let me know that if I needed anything to let them know and they would sort it.
Even nicer was when I was leaving the plane both of the hosts who attended me ask if I was feeling better. I was still limping but it was much easier to move by then.
So thanks to the flight crew who flew the Atlanta to Amsterdam route on the 9th/10th (overnight).
