I'm a big Subway fan. Lately I've been averaging at least one trip a week, and for the convention over the holiday weekend, I had half a dozen of the things. It doesn't hurt that our local Subway (South & Cherry in Long Beach) is clean, and staffed with friendly and competent workers. 
So on Friday, Nekojin and I are doing our weekly shopping, and discussing what we're going to have for dinner and our weekend plans. He suggests Subway, but I want to wait until Sunday, when we're planning on going out, anyway.
We look over, and the Subway has this huge banner advertising a 2-day special of Buy One, Get One Free on everything they sell.
We get inside and they've got a bit of a crowd, but they've got extra staff in and they're zipping right along. Normally, they're pretty fast and friendly, but last Friday they were super peppy and the fastest I've seen Subway people go.
The owner (who has 2 shops) was running a Customer Appreciation special, and I can tell you that this customer certainly appreciated it.
I need to write the owner a letter to say he's appreciated, too.
