I stopped at a Walgreen's (which is a bit far from where I live) to pick up a few things, including a bottle of saw palmetto (great for the prostate!).
The spot on the shelf was empty but I saw a stack of totes that told me they were restocking that section so I just went and found the other stuff I was looking for.
I came back and took a seat near the pharmacy window and waited. Unfortunately, this drug store is a bit too far for me to get back to easily so I had no choice.
As the woman opened each tote, I'd rise, come over and sneak a peek to see if it was there.
After the third time of no SP she asked what I was looking for. I told her and she proceeded to open each of the 4 or 5 totes and let me look while she kept stocking.
It was (of course) in the next-to-last tote.
She didn't have to do that and I think the fact that I never whined or even asked, just sat there politely and waited, was instrumental in winning her assistance.
I thanked her and made sure I found a manager to commend her before I left.
I happened to catch him speaking to her as I was leaving
and was rewarded with a big smile from her.
Now, if only all those EWs we read about here could learn that lesson. *sigh*

I make it a point to tell everyone who even so much as smiles or responds to "Oh, yes, I'm fine, thank for asking.
" with "You smile. You give what you get, so..." and when done, wish them a happy <day of the week> and "all the best! ^_^ "
