Last night, I was driving from Denver to Fort Collins (a 70 mile drive) and managed to run out of gas while actually looking for a gas station about halfway there. Walking to the nearest Village Inn (diner), I asked where the nearest gas station was and explained I had run out of gas. Despite not being a paying customer, the manager on duty talked with her employees and got one of them to head home for a gas can, and another to drive me to the nearest gas station (3 miles away). They really didn't have to do that, and I tipped them for it. Considering letting corporate know, but I don't want to risk getting them in trouble.

Just write out a glowing customer service - and mention names and the date of your visit, you don't have to write any more about them leaving premises.
And make sure it gets to the district manager, not just store manager & shift manager. Hell, put a big TY in the local news paper!

I have one of their comment cards filled out, it doesn't say specifically that they left, just that they coordinated to get me to a gas station and on the road again.Pretend there's something here that sounds insightful, but is really just some pseudo-intellectual bull.
