  • Post Office Employee Awesomeness

I went to the post office during my lunch break today to mail my dad's present and the bulk of my Christmas cards. It was PACKED--nearly 40 people--but the employees were moving everyone through pretty quickly. I only waited about 15 minutes, and used the time to sort my envelopes into international and domestic, grab a priority mail box and get my dad's gift packaged and addressed.

So the poor weary employee calls my number, and seems relieved that although I have a lot of stuff, I know exactly what i need and none of it is complicated. I, of course, wasn't going to throw a fuss about anything because hello, I'm the idiot that waited until 4 DAYS before Christmas to do this. *headdesk* He even joked with me a little bit and thanked me for understanding about the long wait!

So thank you, Mr. Post Office Employee, for being so helpful!

Agreed with this. I sent a package internationally (to my boyfriend )a week ago and I took the time to fill out the customs form while waiting in line. She seemed pleased that I had everything filled out, except for an item I forgot to mark. All in all, very smooth, very fast, very efficient.

I also support this. Shipped off the stuff to go to family in California last night. And I was surprised how everyone was in a good mood waiting in line. Plus everyone seemed mostly prepared with their stuff. I am just glad it is out the door and might get there before Christmas

Can we possibly import some of your postal workers (or their trainers) to our area? We are woefully lacking in such wonderful service at our work office.

Glad to hear your people were up to the challenge this season.
