First off I want to thank everyone who works over the Holiday season in retail. People like you who work hard and manage to do it with a smile have made this Christmas extra special for me, because I know that the joy on my family member's faces will be the best gift I've ever gotten. This is the last year I'll be financially able to really wow my family, and I wanted to go out. These are the people who helped me do it.
Specifically, I'd like to thank:

You, sir, made buying my boyfriend his christmas gift one of the most fun retail experiences ever. I walked in there knowing what I wanted, but you still managed to make me smile and laugh. You got me what I wanted, and as you were ringing it up asked me about who it was for. You told me it seemed like I knew him well, and that you could tell we had a great relationship. You made me laugh. I bought an EPP off you, and my roommate was so enamored of your helpful, nice attitude he even ended up buying an SD card and an EPP to go along with it. I hope your hols are rad, and thanks!

HOO BOY. You, madame, deserve a medal. I walked in there and said, "I want to buy something for my mother and new sister-in-law. I have no idea where to start. HELP." 45 minutes later I left utterly satisfied. You were patient, asked insightful and helpful questions, gave me tons of suggestions, and were not pressing in the least. Your stuff can be pricey, and you helped me work in a budget and get the most bang for my buck. I even left the store with stuff for myself, and on top of it you gave me a ton of free stuff and samples. You were cheerful, helpful, professional, and sweet. My sis-in-law loves her gift, and if I could have praised you to your manager (who was not in) I would have.
The guy at North Face
Six days before Christmas, I came home burnt out on finals only to say to myself, "#$%&, I forgot to shop for my dad!" As per his request, I went to North Face to get him a sweatshirt. You came up to help me, and after we searched and searched, we found you were out of larges in nearly all the styles of sweatshirts. You winced and apologized profusely. I laughed and said, "Well, that's what I get for waiting less than a week before Christmas." You proceeded to cry and thank me for being so kind and understanding. You told me horror stories of screaming EWs. You then helped me find a good alternative and something I think my dad will adore. You told me to get a gift receipt in case he doesn't. The cashier asked who had helped me find my purchase today, and I gladly told her. I also added that you were awesome and deserved a raise. I hope you get it.
Thank you, retail people. Tomorrow when I give my family and boyfriend their gifts will be an amazing day, and it's all because of you guys. Keep doing your thing.
