  • A Customer Gave Me A Drawing.

There's a customer and her daughter who always come in, sometimes with her boyfriend and I'm always happy to see them because they're really nice people. I go out of my way to say hi to them, help them with things, etc.

Yesterday I was having a bad day (left hand is bothering me lately, lots of pain/tightness/tingling/odd burning and cooling sensations) so it was wrapped in a brace and really bothering me because I'd been holding it up and using it too long. The customers come in and when they cash out, the little girl hands me a drawing of Spongebob and Patrick under a field of stars with the moon out that she drew and said, "Here, I drew this for you".

Me: " Oh my god! Thank you so much! That's nice!"

I'm probably going to frame it and keep it on my wall.

AawwwWW!!!! That is one of the sweetest things! ^o^ If that happened to me, I don't even know how I would react. I can't even begin to fathom it.
SC: "Are you new or something?"
Me: "Yes. Your planet is very backwards I hope you realize."

Yes, definitely frame it and keep it protected! It's something you'll treasure for years, if not decades.

It's a gift from the heart, from a small child, and gifts don't get much better than that! In a way, I think it's even more special than if the little girl had been related to you somehow, or was the kid of a friend.

She thinks a lot of you, just from you doing your job, and interacting with her and her parents.

        That is incredibly sweet.

Oh my. It almost breaks your heart.
Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.
