I just want to say a great big THANK YOU to all the local bus drivers. So far I've had pretty much every single one of them be incredibly polite to me hobbling on the bus with my crutches. (one apologised when he couldn't get the bus to kneel). And with one exception every single one of them has told whoever is getting on the bus to wait for me to get off first. (And I'm not sure the exception knew I was getting off right then). I even had one apologise to me when he had to ask me to back up, because someone else was getting off at the front, because he hadn't realised she was getting off the bus then.
