We do our grocery shopping on Sunday at a particular "low price" grocery store that has several locations in the area. They were advertising whole fryers at 69 cents a pound, but the ones we found were marked at $1.19 a pound.
So we asked an employee who was filling the meat counter about it, and she told us that the 69 cents price was at another location (not that far away, but we don't like that one as it doesn't carry a lot of stuff that we like). She said that she could mark one of the chickens down to 69 cents a pound for us, but only one (store policy). Well, that was fine with us, and she also offered to rewrap the one we wanted as the wrapper was kinda wet. I did try to be very polite and nice about it, because we were the dingbats who didn't notice that the store flyer listed which locations had the special price...duh...
So if that very personable, professional and polite lady is reading this site, Thank you for excellent service!
