Went to the local coffee shop thats about a block from my house (location, location, location!) the other day after lunch to get some desert and a drink. They had some kind of banana cake that looked good, so I ordered that. A minute later the clerk let me know that the cake was expired and they couldn't serve it. She was really apologetic about it but, to be honest, I didn't really care that much and asked for something else instead.

The other cake was about a dollar more, so I got out my money to pay the difference and instead was simply handed the cake along with a card for a free drink on my next visit. I was a little shocked, but thanked them for the gesture and went off to enjoy my treats.

So thank you awesome coffee shop for not charging me the difference in cake prices and for the free drink card.
