  • Lost purse

Customer came in yesterday having found a purse in the parking lot. Opened it to check and see if it was a local address so we could check the phone book (also to log the contents to avoid stickyfingers later in the shift) and it was full of hundreds and fifties and credit cards. Not a local address, so we stuck it in the safe to give the owner time to contact us.

Customer came back 5 hours later, having driven into the next state and arrived at the casino only to have a complete moment and then backtracking her steps to us. She was in tears, she was so happy her money was still there.

So, some customers(the kid that found the wallet) still know how to do it right.

That is scary. I'm glad there still are some honest people out there. Once I dropped my wallet in the parking lot with my rent money in it and the next day I was in a panic. Some nice guy had turned in my wallet with everything in it to the store.
