Checked in a guest whose very young daughter was playing with our lobby phone during check-in.
Mother: "Don't play with the phone."
Daughter puts phone down, but immediately picks it back up.
Mother: "Put it back down."
Daughter doesn't.
I wait for the girl to finally replace the phone. As soon as she does, I use my switchboard to dial the phone.
Phone: *LOUD RING*
Daughter:
*runs to hide behind Mother*
Mother:
"I told you!"
Mother: "Don't play with the phone."
