I was working the other day and one of my customers I randomly chat with about looking for work, informed me he finally secured a better job than his package handling one and will be moving out of the area. He thanked me for all the friendly service I provided and the fact I'm an honest person and tell things like they are and was wished luck in my job search because it eventually pays off.
It was just nice to have someone appreciate me for doing my job. I guess it helps on the few occasions we had an out of stock I prompted him to ask me out the sign over my shoulder where he got a gift card since we were out. Management doesn't want us to give out the gift cards unless they are demanded, regardless of company saying give them out like candy if something is out that we guarantee
