I totally forgot about praise for them
Last weekend, I thought it was about time to get the 'other' car back on the road. I'd picked up the freshly repainted wheels Saturday, but had to shop around for someone to mount the new tires. Most were willing to do the job, until I needed a 'lug-centric' adapter. On most cars, the wheel is centered by the rim's hub. Not so on an MGB fitted with "Rostyle" wheels. With those, the *lugs* are what centers it. If you don't have the right adapter, when the shop goes to spin the wheel, it will appear to be bent, and require a crapload of weights.
Unfortunately, my usual garage, no longer had a machine that could handle balancing Rostyle wheels. They couldn't do the job. Neither could the Toyota dealer--they have the machine, but weren't open on Sundays. So, I called the Firestone shop in Bethel Park. Not only could they do the job, but they were curious about what kind of car took those rims. Seems that they were curious about them, and MGs in general
Overall, the job took an hour, and came to just over $100. Not too shabby, considering they did an excellent job on the 5 rims. There's no 'drumming' at highway speeds, and the car no longer pulls to the right. Well done!
