We hadn't planned on getting an easter ham, but on sudden impulse we decided to go out and get one last night. There's a Honey Baked Ham store in the mall near us, and the mall is open till 9, so we assumed the ham place would be too.
We turned up at five past seven, and the gal at the counter said sorry, they'd closed at seven, and she was starting to close up.
We must have looked pretty disappointed, because she suddenly said that she could stay open just a minute more, and what would we like?
She wasn't grudging about it at all, she was very cheerful and really helpful, and gave us the cooking instructions and everything.
So props to her, for going above and beyond for a couple of ham-craving customers.
