  • Honest Trick-or-Treaters Win!

Hubs and I both worked tonight, so we left a bowl of candy out for the trick-or-treaters (since we'd already decorated for Halloween, and it's just kind of a kick in the nads to have the decor up but not have candy). It was cheap candy in a cheap Halloween bucket, so we didn't care if it disappeared.

Came home to find that the honor system actually WORKED! Candy was half gone, but NOT completely bogarted! Another plus: pumpkins weren't smashed! (In this neighborhood, you put pumpkins out at your own peril.)
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

    Oh my. The nice Halloween.
Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.

      very nice indeed.

i was a little worried about putting my Tardiskin out this year but no one touched it. The only thing that got touched was my lights, and that was only because my BF had insisted on stapling them to the new porch posts... and the maintenance had to pull them down to put siding on them.

i put them back up with wire ties and they stayed up
