This is a short one:
During our record-breaking weekend we were half-staffed. This meant that a lot of the routine things that normally got done, like bait, didn't get checked regularly enough.
A guy asked for nine tubs of worms. We only had three. I told him he could have the three now, and if he wanted to wait, I'd split the other six for him. I took out the worms and set up the tubs, going to find the lids. When I came back, he had put dirt in all of them and was busy splitting his own worms.
My boss told me to give him extra worms on purpose for this, after giving me a (joking) hard time for making the customer do the work.
