  • Cupcakes!

As most of you will probably know, this weekend the Queen celebrates her Diamond Jubilee. The UK has a double Bank Holiday to celebrate. Unless of course you work in the emergency services or in that well known unofficial emergency service know as retail. Yes, my store is opening both days, normal hours, how did you guess?

Anyway, one of our regular customers brought some special Jubilee cupcakes in for us all to share in the break room. They had strawberry icing on them, with little sugar diamonds in red white and blue.

I saw her afterwards and thanked her, and she said, 'Well I know you'll all be in here working, and I thought you should have something nice too.'
Engaged to the sweet Mytical He is my Black Dragon (and yes, a good one) strong, protective, the guardian. I am his Silver Dragon, always by his side, shining for him, cherishing him.

What a sweet lady! So nice of her.

We've got a regular like that. Last Christmas, she brought in a wonderful gingerbread cake. It was so beautifully decorated, we almost didn't want to eat it, but it was delicious too. And she did it because she liked shopping with us and wanted to give us something nice, too.

        Customers like that deserve a

After I got stuck in hospital a couple years ago I sent the staff in the surgical admissions suite pizza. And I also arranged for pizza for the nurses on my ward. I regularly bake cookies for my primary care doc's office. I got to know all of them fairly well after spending 4 months having weekly appointments trying to get the damned malignant hypertension controlled.

That was very nice of them. Wish more customers were as thoughtful.
