Best Buy surprised me and for once surpassed expectations. Just over two and half weeks ago I tragically dropped my phone a Dell Streak shattering the screen. Almost no one has heard of the Dell Streak let alone seen one. They were considered a mini tablet/phone the screen was 5". They were not marketed very well and were only available at Best Buy. The size was considered the reason for failure. It was considered too big by most consumers. I loved it. When I turned it in I was informed that the Dell was no longer available and most likely I would have to accept another phone. The one shown me that day was disappointing to say the least. But I understood that it was unlikely to get another dell. I turned mine in to see if it could be repaired or replaced with a refurbished dell. Finally this evening I received notice that my dell not repairable and to come in to the store get another phone. Upon arrival the young woman I had spoke to on the phone told the most comparable phone with the Streak was the Samsung Galaxy Note. I was shocked to say the least. I didn't expect to be offered one of the newer phones that was better/more expensive than my dell. The screen is slightly larger than the Dell and the cameras is an 8MP as apposed to the 5MP on the Dell. They pulled up the original receipt and told me it is based on the original retail price. When they looked the dell was actually $100 to $150.00 less than the galaxy. I expected them to then say I had to take a lesser valued phone. Instead they got a manager override and proceeded with the exchange. I am still figuring out all the ins and outs of it but so far I like it.
