As you know, I had a fire in April and my house was destroyed. I needed to get into my safe deposit box and had looked through everything that we saved (not much) to see if I could find the key.
Nope.
So I went into the bank and asked for my box to be drilled, and said I knew it was a $125 charge. She asked what had happened and I explained about the fire and that the keys were gone.
They drilled my box, and handed me some paperwork for the new box that I needed my husband to sign, and then I signed the slip approving the withdrawal.
I forgot the paperwork and received it in the mail a couple of days ago. Erin, the teller, had mailed me the paperwork with a note explaining that the bank would NOT charge me as the loss of keys was due to a house fire, and they thought I had gone through quite enough.
I love my bank..they have really helped through all of this mess, and if any of you are in Kansas, Central National Bank ROCKS!
