  • I know an angel.

Background- I'm sorta in hard times right now, we can't afford our house payment (300$ per month, great deal,) or utilities so me and my brother are moving in with my dad and 6 others, (step family,) my mom (thankfully) is in a nursing home, thankfully because that means she is taken care of, so we went to tell our Landlord that we couldn't afford our payment this month, this guy is around 80 years old, he has long hair and used to be a biker. He greeted us warmly and his daughter went to fetch the receipt, we told them the news and my landlord got stiff, he then said "Well, they don't have to worry about it then," my dad was shocked, "That's nice of you to give them extra time to get out, we'll clean it up before we head out. Ray-(landlord) then said "No, there won't be any damn rent, they can just pay me back whenever they get jobs, no pressure" Unfortunately we couldn't accept his offer, we then had to explain we couldn't even pay the utilities and he understood, My brother and I are old enough to work, Although I'm currently attending college so that rules me out, and my brother has little to no experience in the workforce. Now we're moving in 60's 70's degree weather, and now my dad is sick, I have a slight fever of 99.4 and we may be moving while it's raining. I have 2 research papers due, 1 5 paragraph essay, and I'm trying to get caught up in my math.
Even with all of that the hearing Ray say that just feels....warming, touching, so much that it hurts some because if I we tried harder this might have been avoided, just felt that I should say something about this man, he honestly meant that we could have this house for free and he trusted us.

You must have been good tenants. It was really cool he was going to let you slide on rent.
