Lady took disappointment well

Thank you to the nice customer who went to buy some tea with a gift card ... only to have the gift card come up "account not active," whatever that means (but it's definitely not good ...)

She ended up leaving her purchases behind because we couldn't fix the gift card problem. I offered to leave it packaged up with her name on it but she couldn't get back tomorrow and wasn't sure when she would be back at the mall.

Nevertheless, she was polite, although obviously disappointed and none too happy, throughout the process. Here's hoping my boss can fix the problem whenever she does come back.

it means one of two things
a. the cashier that rang it up forgot to authorize it.
b. it was never sold, as in stolen from the back.
