We are the few people who know what we're doing in stores. We can be observed to be reading all the signs, not just the first few words before getting stuck. We make decisions. We don't crap on the floor.
We are the elite of retail.
It is our blessing and our curse.
Our competence is what they crave, and they try to siphon it from us whenever they recognise us, and recognise us they do. You can see the dull glimmer of hope from beneath their neanderthal eyebrows and they struggle to comprehend difficult things, such as remembering to breath in and out in the right order.
