This didn't actually happen to me but a coworker told me that when the company sold off some of their older computers to employees at a discount (and when they picked up the machines they were told of any problems they might encounter) they had one lady who had gotten a laptop and had been told it had quite a bit of spyware and needed to be cleaned up that she had proceeded to take it home and put it through a cycle in the DISHWASHER!I used to be disgusted...
