The printer isn't working

I'm providing IT support part time for a small financial company, run by a really nice guy, but he is a SUPER grouch...makes things interesting. This story happened a couple weeks ago.

Me: Durrrrr
GB: Grouchy Boss
NB: Nice Boss, partner of GB, from what I can see possibly the best sort of person you could ever work for

Me: So, you said something on the phone about the printer?
GB: Yeah, it's not working on my computer.
Me: Uh, which one? (Their office has 2 full-size copier/printer machines, 1 laser printer, 1 all-in-one inkjet, 1 "photo-quality" inkjet, and a fax machine)
GB: The color copier.
Me: *Checks his computer. Everything seems normal, detects and has no communication issues, I print a test page, retrieve it, and bring it back* It's working just fine.
GB: I can't use any of the finisher options.
Me: Oh, okay, let me check it out. *Goes back to the other room where it is, and finds that the finisher is disconnected*

I return to find GB on the phone, so I wander across the hall to NB's office.

Me: GB was having trouble with the finisher on the color copier, and I found it's disconnected. Any idea why?
NB: Yeah, it broke about a year ago, and we decided not to have it fixed.

Those are the kind of work orders that physically HURT!!

In the same week, we've had ***2*** HP Deskjet 800 series printers go to the great Computer Desk in the Sky.

I believe the 800 series came out in '99, to date these printers a bit. Both people were down right surprised about the death of their printers.

I was like, "Dude! It's at least 7 years old! Your paper feed button is stuck INSIDE the printer? And you're surprised it's dead?"
