Oh goodie. My company was bought out a couple of years ago by a company that also has a division that makes computers. Non-Mac computers, specifically.
So they are getting around to consolidating a lot of things, like email servers and wifi networks and credentials. My co-worker was "upgraded" to the new wifi setup, and promptly lost access to most of the stuff we need to do our work unless he plugs into a network cable.
Just this week, I was "upgraded" to the new email system. Mandatory upgrade to LookOut, of course. Except if you're on a Mac, in which case NO EMAIL FOR YOU! You have to go to the web-based email server.
Guess what kind of laptop I have? And about a third of my group?
Sigh. I guess I'm going to get a lot less responsive to email until they replace my laptop...
