I hesitate to ask, but... did the friend manage to get online?

But...but...HOW did it get in upside-down? PHYSICS DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!
It didn't get in completely, it was wedged in at like a 45 degree angle, far in enough that the 'locking pin' thing had gotten caught and wedged tight inside the edge of the case.

Did the learner slow down? Nope - still at forty (at my best guess), and did so around the corners. Those corners were lethal at twenty!
I dunno about physically impossible. I have a sporty little econo-box that lets me take a set of S-curves rated for 25mph at about 45mph (the speed for the rest of the road) with no issues as long as the road is dry and clean. Only started to slide once, and that was because sand had somehow gotten on the road. I was fine except for going half into the other lane for a moment.

Oh, and MMATM... nope, but it was under warranty (less than a week old) so they exchanged it since she got the accidental damage plan.

That goes along with "any tool is the right tool".

Answers are easy...it is asking the right questions which is hard.
