  • I would rather quit than activate Sprint cards

So, the uni's president's secretary decided they had to have SPRINT broadband wireless cards. I got tricked into being the one to order them.. then to install/activate them.

Activating two broadband wireless cards... sounds easy right? The last 2 hours of my life disagrees.

First I was transferred between 4 people, trying to figure out which side I belonged to, Sprint, Nextel or the two combined. Then, the person who was going to get a person on the line for me rather than dumping me in the queue, dumped me into the queue. Then that person said I had to have another credit check run, and dumped me into a queue there, then that person had to forward me to the business accounts side, who found that Sprint kept making inquiries on the credit check, and finally accepted the account, then forwarded me over to activation, who, after telling me that the only name I gave them wasn't the name on the account, found out that I was a business account, and went to forward me there........... after their hours.

When I finally realized this, I stormed over to the dept head, explained everything while trying not to break anything, and while she sat laughing her head off, and said that if they buy anything else Sprint, and expect me to deal with their service people, that I will QUIT!

Former bossman walked off saying that he had to go buy a bunch of Sprint stuff...

My cable company uses Sprint as a phone partner. They told us that if there is a routing issue between Sprint and Sprint PCS, for instance a Spring PCS customer gets an error calling a Sprint land line #, that they cannot make a ticket for each other. So yes, they are really screwed up. Sprint can't talk to Sprint.

Once again the wireless company and the landline company are two different companies. Landline is now Embarq.

Thanks, but I put the fear of Jenni in the Sprint people. It only took talking to TWO people to get the phone activated!

Well being a fellow Cable call center jockey It is Sprint that we are partnered with not Embarq. The cable company provides the physical medium for the phone to work and Sprint provides the "behind the curtain" mechanics. All I can say about Sprint is that I feel your pain. Luckily there are a few... and I do mean FEW people there that know what they are doing.

After two very frustrating hours on the phone with Sprint? Na! That's when you use your bare hands!
