At the library once, I completely tore apart a typewriter... because they wanted me to!! The children's librarian was doing a program series about various artistic movements (for the older set of kids) and she couldn't figure out what to do for dadaism. So, I suggested we tear apart one or two (or five!) of the stupid broken typewriters that our director just won't throw away.
It was great, especially since I had some frustration to vent that day. Tearing stuff up was good for that.
