Got a call Yesterday, guy wants help as to why his Windows Mobile smartphone is not syncing. Actually it does go through the motions but then says "network unavailable."

I log into his computer and he a bunch of adware in his PC, so I upgrade his service and take the adware out from add/remove and install a couple of scanners.

Now then he tells me something: "I'm talking to you on my smartphone."

Me when he said that:

What kind of phone does he have? Mine still accepts and makes calls while it's syncing...just not while making a data call. Maybe it's a new change with Windows Mobile 6 (I have 5), or maybe it's a phone-specific feature?

Why do people expect the technology to perform miracles?

Back when I was on my PC, I used Adaware to get rid of spyware. And I only used IE when absolutely necessary - which meant I didn't have much spyware to begin with.

Free Antivirus... AVG is one of the more popular ones.
