On Topic: I once amazed someone by being able to correctly spell their last name the first time after only hearing it once. Engleking.
My aunt can do that, she can also correctly pronounce any name on seeing it written (well, we're yet to find one that she got wrong). That's from 15 years working for the immigration department.
