"Update on fiber outage:

At 2:00 AM technicians went to area of fiber outage, identified that 5 miles of the fiber route had been shot with what looked like a shot gun. Shooting was still heard in the area, so a decision was made not to proceed until day light with repairs to the fiber."

How the hell do you shoot 5 MILES of cable? How much spare time do you have on your hands to do that?!?

Um, isn't cable buried, so you would need to dig up said cable before shooting it, I would have hoped someone would have noticed it...?
