This wasn't sucky, but it did get me a little and hot under the collar...somewhat.

I had a customer that called in about a connection issue, he said that he had dial up and was able to connect but not with his new DSL, which after more than 30 minutes of troubleshooting turned out that he had a registration issue, where I had to transfer to another department. If you ask what it was that got me to feel so....flustered, the customer I had on the line sounded like Barry White, he was cool as hell the entire time, but his voice....holy hell was it swoon worthy. Ladies, hopefully I'm not the only one that's had that before.

Happens to males (though to a lesser degree for most, probably) too.

I believe most USian males find anything resembling Australian, British, or Scotch accents hawt.

Hell, then the eye colour and accent doesn't even matter, they're just bonuses

Hah, I've had that happen to me before. Had a guy on the phone with that really deep voice that almost seems painful... I couldn't help but keep thinking up a mental image of the big guy who played in the Green Mile, among other movies. I was giggling softly to myself for hours after, getting strange looks from my coworkers.

... o why o why couldn't i have gotten a call from alan rickman at work?

but ... i'm guilty of surprising people with my voice. some people compliment, others complain... when im on the phone my voice goes "professional" which means it's a little lower etc... and sometimes i've gotten comments that i should do a 900 number. heh

Women do, too. Now, if only David Tennant would call and use his natural Scottish brogue...
