AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGH, STOP !@#$ING TYPING
one of my most hated pet peaves is people who type when im trying to help them login.
i just had a lady who couldnt login to the novell client. normally this is a simple affair, check her ssn, and reset the pw. not for this woman. (i wouldnt be posting if i was that lucky.) she had just had it reset by someone before me, "like 2 seconds ago, AND ITS NOT WORKING!!!!!eleventy!!!!" (my first thought is "decaff") so i reset her, all the while she is trying the last pw she got. i know because i hear the clacking of her beating the keys. allot of the older pc users are in the habbit of banging the keys, usually because they learned to type on a manual typewriter. anyway, i finally get her to stop, unlock her and reset it. (now here i should mention that our intranet sign ons and novell are the same) she logs into novell, changes her pw and then throws a full on fit because her intranet signon doesnt work.
anyone who works with computers knows that sometimes things need to sync up, especially in windows, and even more especially when dealing with novell. our system usually takes 5-10 min, so she locked herself out of the intranet, and is foaming at the mouth about it. i finally get her calm and unlock her. get her to login on another system and poof, it works. do i get a thankyou? or any nicety? >,> <,<

thats just the tip of the iceburg today, others have been combative about troubleshooting and others just refuse. theyre all about to see why my handle is steeleDRAGON, fire breathing and all.
