  • Back to Back to School Shenanigans!

Our Admin Asst is still out. She last an hour before being sent home. Most of it was that she wanted to be at work, and getting a paycheck.... but not do... work.... like..... take phone calls.

So, not so Shenanigans... but I got a Win Me machine in.. FUN STUFF.

Then I got in a real old guy who's taking classes, he needed help checking his school email..

THEN... one of the professors called. PISSED. OFF. Her account password expired, and she wasn't notified until today. Well, kinda okay. She could have called us on Thursday when it expired. She didn't have to wait and let her level of piss build up. She actually hung up on me.

My manager is running late to lunch, meaning I'm late to student checking which started 8 minutes ago.

    Oh, and I don't remember when I didn't have a headache.

I know that feeling. Classes started yesterday here too. Between the students complaining that their passwords expired and professors demanding additional software on the lab computers, I'm going to need a new desk. This one has a large head shaped dent in it

"Can you bring your computer into the Helpdesk?"
"I could, but I will not. It's inconvenient for me to be without it."

"Well, what I can I do to escalate getting that username and password?"
Um... NOT wait for the last minute to get it?

Yesterday, I changed over 28 passwords. Today, thanks to having some phone support, over 19. Woot.

So I'm working on a laptop infected with trjoan.wimad.

I started the scan yesterday at 3pm. Now, at 7:53am the next day, IT'S STILL SCANNING.....

The majority of his infected files??

Your scanner shows uncommonly good taste.

            FRACK!

Symantec wanted me to reboot, so it could delete files and clean, and stuff, and it totally crashed the guy's profile.

            Poop.

It's the curse of the AA, I swear.

She was great, but she's really starting to slip.

Me....shudder. I had the pleasure of trying to support one of those once. By chance I discovered I could purchase a cheap off-lease dell with XP. Guess what I did?
