uh yeah. Good luck with that Kathleen.

Personal responsibility. Learn it. Live it.

(Side note. Get a CHEAP pair of frames to leave at work from now on. TAKE THE $200.00 ones HOME!)

And that's the school's responsibility how? They didn't make the person leave their glasses in the computer lab. They didn't keep them in a case when not being worn to prevent damage.

I remember back when I had my first pair of glasses . . . yes it's been that long and dinosaurs roamed the earth . . . I had a bad habit of laying them on my bed when I would be in my room reading.

Dumb idea . . . and at the time I had a waterbed and the slightest movement made my glasses move around and they ended up getting rolled over on and the frames were bent as a result.

Mom replaced the frames . . . then almost 2 months later it happened again (I forgot and left them on the bed again.) She once again replaced them but told me if it happened once more, I'd have to go without my glasses, as she couldn't afford to keep replacing the frames.

      I never did that again.

That's what the case is for, assface!

(GAWD, I've been holding that in for a while. So many patients complaining to me about their busted glasses lately, LOL)

This is a joke, right? (I know it isn't.)

Since when did broken glasses become a computer help desk problem?

What a fucking tool. No doubt she was bred over several generations for sustained ignorance.

I was wondering the same thing

But seriously, I've only broken one pair of glasses. Not really my fault...but rather the fault of the idiot who rear-ended my Tempo. Face hit the steering wheel , and bent my glasses frame a bit. Didn't break the lenses, and was easily bent back into shape.

Not long after that, I'd gone on a retreat with some friends. Not on a religious one, but rather up to Penn State with the Environmental Club. Anyway, the room we were all staying in, was used as a classroom. Meaning, we were sleeping on the floor. Anyway, I'd taken my glasses off, and put them on a table. Next morning... "Leah" said that she'd stepped on them.

Turns out that sometime during the night, she'd gone outside, and walked into the table in the dark. Oops. Even so, the only damage was slight bending to the frame. Again, easily fixed.

And this is why I tell my soon-to-be-11-year-old: "Glasses belong in only 2 places: On your face or in the case." And do I raise hell and let him sweat if I find them laying around elsewhere. Especially when the bus is due in 3 minutes.

                wow

I predict future Iota-Delta-Ten-Tango errors in the cards for this dimwit. When the heck did glasses become a tech problem? It's not like we can fix them by running FixBustedStuff.bat or something.

That's that thing that the police try to talk about when you lock your keys in your car, then call them because the tow truck driver's charging you to get you back in your car.
