BG: I was CC'd in on this email since I am the only full time IT person and the previous IT manager is now working as a part time consultant. I think know I'm going to miss having him as a full time buffer between me and the stupid.
The employee who wrote this email has been working here as night audit for more than a year using Excel the entire time. He also claimed to have years of experience using Excel. I think he lied.
I've reversed the order, so you can read them chronologically. Might want to get drunk first so it kills fewer brain cells. Here come's the stupid:

<IT Manager>, Please bear with me. I'm still not 100% clear on the save function.
1) When clicking on "file" and then on "save" is it the same as "Ctrl - S" ?
2) When entering data and then the save function does the computer save only what has iust been entered or does the computer save all that has been enterd including data of other departments entered previosly ?
I'm going to be off for a few days so no urgency for a response.
Thank you for your time and patience.

Hi Idiot,
1) Yes
2) When you save a file, the entire file is saved. This is includes new data you entered as well as ALL other data in the file.
I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any other questions, you can direct them to Gerrinson, since he will be available every day.
Enjoy your time off,
M
